ICAI Head Office Has Moved

AI continues to grow rapidly in the Netherlands, in industry, in academia, in not-for-profit organizations. As of today, ICAI’s national head office has moved to Building I (“eye”), also known as village.ai, which is part of the Startup Village at Science Park Amsterdam.

Hybrid Intelligence

Supported by a grant from the NWO Gravitation program, a consortium of leading Dutch AI researchers is launching the Hybrid Intelligence Centre. Hybrid Intelligence is the combination of human and machine intelligence, aimed at amplifying both human and machine intelligence by combining their complementary strengths. The Hybrid Intelligence Centre is a collaboration of top AI researchers from across the Netherlands in areas such as machine learning, knowledge representation, information retrieval, natural language understanding & generation, multi-agent systems, collaboration, cognitive psychology, multimodal interaction, social robotics, AI & law, and ethics of technology. The team includes ICAI lab directors Frank van Harmelen, Maarten de Rijke, and Max Welling as principle investigators. ICAI is very proud to be affiliated with the Hybrid Intelligence Centre. For more information, please visit their web site.
