What if we could make it much easier to improve Healthcare by sharing research data? What if we would remove many of the roadblocks, researchers and clinicians face while exchanging Medical Data from multiple sources? To drive value-based health care, we need to analyze massive amounts of data. Finding, accessing, and processing medical data while respecting privacy and security regulations is a complex task. It is important to enable scientists to analyze the data, discover and develop new hypotheses about human health so that they can focus on what really matters: improving patients’ lives with a fast track to clinical innovation. During this event, we will address how data sharing and AI play an essential role within e/MTIC and share with you two research cases in which data and AI play a vital role.

About ICAI Deep-Dive:
ICAI Deep-Dive is a community meetup that focuses on shared interested topics and subjects in-depth, despite the differences of the primary research domains of each community member and lab. The aim is to promote knowledge production, transferring, and utilization via experience sharing and open discussion, finding solutions for the common challenges and issues in the community.
Deep-Dive Data Series:
- Event I: 12th May on Medical Data Usage, co-organized with e/MTIC
- Event II: 29th June on Public Data Application.
- Event III: Fall 2022.
Eindhoven MedTech Innovation Center (e/MTIC)
The Eindhoven MedTech Innovation Center (e/MTIC) is a large-scale research collaboration between the Catharina Hospital, Máxima MC, Kempenhaeghe Epilepsy and Sleep Center, Eindhoven University of Technology and Philips Eindhoven in the domains of cardiovascular, perinatal and sleep medicine. The partnership has evolved over several decades, with a strong scientific and valorization track record. e/MTIC currently encompasses around 100 PhD students, supervised by a similar number of experts from various partners. The e/MTIC AI-Lab focuses on improving personalized treatment by having AI work in close collaboration with the clinical staff and MedTech industries since AI is better able to make reliable decisions in a wide range of healthcare situations.
