Reporting, Monitoring & Evaluation

The following lab outputs are regarded as performance indicators for a lab:

Publications and software releases

Patents

  • We will keep track on an aggregate level of the number of patents that will come out of the labs in ICAI. Details of the patents do not need to be shared, we only request a yearly number.
  • If you require advice on patent processes, please get in touch with the team and we will direct you to the appropriate resources.

• Individual reports as discussed in the lab agreements

  • Any reports that are agreed to by the partners in the lab agreement, need to be archived by the individual labs. We do not need to receive these specific reports, but a record of their existence should be maintained.

• Quarterly reports

  • We advise the labs to have regular quarterly reports towards the partners in the labs on the progress of the research. You can use the template of ICAI.

ROBUST specifications:

  • Quarterly reports

The information gathered in the quarterly reports will form the basis for our annual program report to NWO. Quarterly reports are generally due on the 15th of the month following the end of the quarter. Our project year runs September 1 to August 31.

The lab manager will gather data on the progress of the PhD students, and report this to the lab directors. Once approved by the lab directors, a meeting will be scheduled with one of the ROBUST program committee members (PI team) to go over the report before it is finalized.

  • Approved minutes of governing board meetings

The governing board approves changes in the lab, which must be documented in the approved meeting minutes.
