ICAI Day Autumn 2024 - Enhancing Human Interaction with AI
We are thrilled to announce our upcoming event, "Enhancing Human Interaction with AI," taking place in TU Eindhoven! This event will serve as a dynamic forum to explore how AI can be developed and utilized to enrich human experiences and foster more meaningful interactions. During the ICAI day will highlight the importance of cross-sector collaboration, uniting experts from academia, industry, and government to shape a future where AI not only advances technology but also enhances the quality of life for all. Join us as we work together to create a future where AI and humanity thrive in harmony, driving us toward a more connected, empathetic, and innovative world.
We are excited to announce the program our next ICAI Day on the topic of "Enhancing Human Interaction with AI"
The event is a collaboration between ICAI and EAISI.

Round Tables
Table 1 - "Precision in Perception: Ensuring AI Accuracy"
Description: This roundtable will delve into methodologies and metrics that ensure AI systems operate with precision, thereby enhancing their impact on human interactions.
Outcome: A comprehensive list of best methodologies and metrics for achieving high accuracy in AI systems.
Table 2 - "Equitable AI: Building Reliable and Fair Systems"
Description: This roundtable will discuss strategies for developing reliable AI systems that consistently perform across diverse user groups, ensuring fairness and parity.
Outcome: A collection of cases (they know of) and examples of reliable and fair AI systems, highlighting successful implementations and lessons learned.
Table 3 - "Consistency in AI: Achieving Repeatability and Reproducibility"
Description: Here the focus is on best practices for ensuring AI systems deliver consistent results and maintaining transparent audit trails.
Outcome: A “guide” on best practices for achieving repeatable and reproducible AI outcomes, including methods for maintaining transparency in AI research and applications.
Table 4 - "Robust AI: Enhancing Resilience Against Challenges"
Description: This roundtable will be discussing the robustness of AI systems against “adversarial attacks”, ensuring stability in real-world scenarios.
Outcome: A set of practical recommendations and techniques for making AI more robust against adversarial attacks and data shifts.
Table 5 - "Secure AI: Safeguarding Safety and Privacy"
Description: This table will delve into the importance of safety and privacy in AI, discussing privacy-preserving techniques, ethical considerations, and regulatory compliance.
Outcome: A simple “framework” - best practices (points of notice) for implementing safety and privacy measures in AI, including key privacy-preserving techniques and guidelines for ethical and regulatory compliance.
Pre-meeting SSH Collaborations with interdisciplinary team
The intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) presents unique opportunities and challenges that require an interdisciplinary approach. In this 1.5-hour session, Sally Wyatt, a renowned expert in the field, will delve into the dynamics of working within such diverse teams. She will explore how collaboration between AI and SSH can lead to innovative solutions, while also addressing the complexities that arise from integrating different methodologies and perspectives. This session will provide valuable insights into fostering effective teamwork across these disciplines.
