About the lab

The ILUSTRE Lab is dedicated to developing solutions for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of water and energy distribution.

 

The lab’s mission and vision are to to develop, implement and test AI innovations that will accelerate the use of clean energy and advance solutions in water treatment and wastewater recycling/purification.

 

The impact of the lab lies in directly tackling challenges within water and energy distribution in order to achieve the transition towards renewable energy within Curaçao and reaching the ambition to become a smart country that embraces the development of data technology and Artificial Intelligence.

Jheronimus Academy of Data Science (JADS) is a unique concept in the Netherlands. At three different locations, the study, research and application of data science is combined in bachelor, master and EngD programs, Data Science research centres and existing ecosystems.

University of Curaçao is the state university of Curaçao. It is a public university, graduating approximately three hundred students per year.

Lanubia Consulting has been established to advice and support organisations during their business transformation journey.

WEB Bonaire is responsible for the sustainable, reliable and affordable supply of drinking water and electricity on Bonaire. We work for over 20,000 households, companies and organisations on the island.

Alliander is a network company that emerged from Nuon, now Vattenfall. Alliander consists of the components Liander , Qirion . Liander, a regional grid operator , provides energy distribution in a third of the Netherlands

KPN is a Dutch telecommunications company. KPN originated from a government-run postal, telegraph and telephone service and is based in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

CIWC gives its advice on applications for grants concerning the international mobility of researchers (i.e. participation in conferences/workshops and long/short stays abroad), the organisation of scientific meetings in Belgium, the sabbatical leaves and the international exchange agreements and scientific cooperation projects.
