On September 19, Radboudumc hosted the AI for Healthcare 2025 congress in Nijmegen, bringing together researchers, clinicians, and industry partners to discuss responsible implementation of AI in clinical practice.
The programme included plenary lectures by Colin Jacobs and Kicky van Leeuwen and interactive sessions led by experts from cardiology, pathology, radiology, and radiotherapy. Topics covered clinical validation, implementation, regulation, and collaboration. Autoscriber contributed a session on integrating large language models into clinical workflows.
Participants valued the balance between technical depth and practical relevance and the open exchange between developers and end-users. The day ended with a session on trust in AI and future clinical adoption, presented by Bram van Ginneken, with closing reflections led by Robert Breas.
This event was part of the ICAI ROBUST initiative, highlighting collaboration between academic centres, hospitals, and companies to translate trustworthy AI into clinical practice. Positive feedback has encouraged organisers to plan a second edition to further support knowledge exchange and real-world impact.
