ICAI Labs: AI for Biosciences Lab established

Royal DSM and TU Delft officially started the Artificial Intelligence Lab for Biosciences (AI4B.io Lab). This lab will be the first of its kind in Europe to apply AI to full-scale biomanufacturing, from microbial strain development to process optimization and scheduling. DSM plans to invest €2.5 million into the lab over the first five years. Read more


This week FAST LAB (new Frontiers in Autonomous Systems Technology) has joined ICAI. The lab is in its fourth year of research and creates smart industrial mobile robots. The researchers of Eindhoven University of Technology work together with the industry partners Rademaker, ExRobotics, Vanderlande, Lely and Diversey. Find out more.

ICAI Interview: Making an impact in the real world

Jesse Scholtes, program manager of FAST LAB, makes sure the collaboration between the researchers of TU Eindhoven and their five industry partners runs smoothly. Scholtes: 'The biggest prerequisite for success is making sure the involved companies are not each other’s competitors.
